So much about it taking root! But, well, as I was allowed to participate in the Intensive Czech Language Course, I had to prepare everything in a very short time, so alas, there was no time for running at all! Now, as I have been living in Prague for a week, things begin to settle. Today, after sleeping 13 hours from 4am to 5pm, I decided it would be nice to go for a run now. So you could say it was still morning for me after all! 😀
My speed is way worse, which is also due to the rainy weather at 2°C, making me worry the paths would be slippery, to me attempting to find a good trail here, and to technical issues with my headphones that made me stop without pausing the app. Let’s see how this goes on!
I did it again! Twice a week seems to really take root! Well, this was also due to some other life changes that resulted in me getting more organized, focused, and dedicated for stuff. More on that maybe later in another thread. (I hope I remember pasting the link here then.)
R, my flatmate in Aachen, Germany, told me what his coach told him: You should aim for running 70-90 min, then it really benefits your muscles. I thought: Hmm, I managed to run this long in the past, but I did it only a few times, very irregularly. So I decided to go for it again. This is the result. It felt really good to finally run this long again (and to take a warm shower afterwards :P).
I also found pleasure in running two-way trails, choosing a path I like for 35 min and running back the same path afterwards (2*35 min = 70 min). It is also easily extendable to 80 or at some point even 90 min by adding bits at the end of the path before running back.
In the weeks before, I did a few runs without tracking them via the app. This is the first run I did track, and thus it shall mark the moment I return to a (hopefully) regular running schedule: twice a week.
