26.01.2019 × First Run in Prague

So much about it taking root! But, well, as I was allowed to participate in the Intensive Czech Language Course, I had to prepare everything in a very short time, so alas, there was no time for running at all! Now, as I have been living in Prague for a week, things begin to settle. Today, after sleeping 13 hours from 4am to 5pm, I decided it would be nice to go for a run now. So you could say it was still morning for me after all! 😀

My speed is way worse, which is also due to the rainy weather at 2°C, making me worry the paths would be slippery, to me attempting to find a good trail here, and to technical issues with my headphones that made me stop without pausing the app. Let’s see how this goes on!

12.01.2019 × Endlich wieder 70

R, my flatmate in Aachen, Germany, told me what his coach told him: You should aim for running 70-90 min, then it really benefits your muscles. I thought: Hmm, I managed to run this long in the past, but I did it only a few times, very irregularly. So I decided to go for it again. This is the result. It felt really good to finally run this long again (and to take a warm shower afterwards :P).

I also found pleasure in running two-way trails, choosing a path I like for 35 min and running back the same path afterwards (2*35 min = 70 min). It is also easily extendable to 80 or at some point even 90 min by adding bits at the end of the path before running back.
